Autumn has arrived, and there’s plenty to do all around Central Florida. It’s easy to be festive this Fall. Here are four free events to help celebrate the season.
Explore the magic of Fairy Doors starting October 3rd in the Harry P. Leu Gardens in Orlando. Embrace your inner whimsy and jump into the search for 20 tiny and uniquely designed doors hidden amongst the grounds. This annual event is a family favorite and loads of fun. Children of all ages will be tickled with delight as they discover each door inspired by frolicking fairies. Take advantage of October’s free daytime admission day and cruise around acres of gardens filled with unique Florida flora and fauna. Fairy Doors runs through October 31st.
Oktoberfest arrives for two days at Avalon Park Orlando on October 7th and 8th. Toes will be tapping to lively polka music paired with traditional Schuhplattler dancing. On site vendors show authentic Oktoberfest treasures to shoppers while nearby toasts ring out in the beer garden. Little ones can get out their energy in the bounce park and everyone will be laughing out loud during the Weiner Dog Derby. Don’t miss out on this traditional celebration!
Nearby, the second annual Boo Bash is being held at Sebastian Riverview Park on October 22nd and 23rd. Live entertainment creates an energetic vibe as folks celebrate all things spooky. Artists and vendors showcase their masterpieces with nearby food trucks offering tasty treats for those suffering the munchies. Youngsters trick or treat, get their faces painted and participate in Halloween themed crafts. Pack up the family and go!
Next, get your scare on at the Avalon Park Spooktacular. Parents and kids will both be pleased with this family friendly Halloween event held in Town Park on October 29th. Kiddos can enter into a Halloween costume contest, get their fill of trick or treating and jump up and down in bounce houses. Food trucks will satisfy hungry tummies and live performances entertain one and all.
